24 men sentenced jail and whiplash for participation in demonstration on may 2006

Criminal court of Ahar (No. 102) issued its judgment, on 16 August, convicting 24 men charged with “disregarding social order” and “destructing public properties” according to reports provided by intelligence ministry:

1- Farhad Heydari: six months imprisonment and 70 whiplash hits for disregarding social order and 2 years imprisonment for destructing
2- Karim Kargar: months six imprisonment and 70 whiplash hit
3- Mortaza Shokri Serqini: six months imprisonment and 70 whiplash hits
4- Avaz Hasanpoor: six months imprisonment and 70 whiplash hits
5- Afshin Bazzaz Ghadim: six months imprisonment and 70 whiplash hits
6- Anushirvan Tahmasebi: six months imprisonment and 70 whiplash hits suspended 5 years
7- Ramin illghami: six months imprisonment and 70 whiplash hits suspended 5 years
8- Ramin Bakhshi: six months imprisonment and 70 whiplash hits suspended 5 years
9- Hoseyn Safarnia: six months imprisonment and 70 whiplash hits suspended 5 years
10- Farid Barzgar: six months imprisonment and 70 whiplash hits suspended 5 years
11- Mehrdad Heydarpoor: six months imprisonment and 70 whiplash hits suspended 5 years
12- Mohammad Jafari: six months imprisonment and 70 whiplash hits suspended 5 years
13- Mehdi Soleymani: six months imprisonment and 70 whiplash hits suspended 5 years
14- Abolfazl Asadzade: six months imprisonment and 70 whiplash hits suspended 5 years
15- Parviz Bagheri: six months imprisonment and 70 whiplash hits suspended 5 years
16- Jala Esfandyari: six months imprisonment and 70 whiplash hits suspended 5 years
17- Reza Salmanzade: six months imprisonment and 70 whiplash hits suspended 5 years
18- Nar Akhshi: six months imprisonment and 70 whiplash hits suspended 5 years
